Help Gertrude Schneider celebrate

The family of Gertrude Schneider will be hosting an open house in honor of their mother’s 95th birthday on Sunday, May 19, from 1-3:30 p.m. It will be held at the Waverly Community Center located directly across from the Christian Reformed Church.

Gert and her late husband Marvin, lived and farmed in the Waverly district for over 50 years. They were members of the Antique Iron club and entered their collection of antique Farmall tractors in the annual July 4 parade for many years. Gert was active in the Gray Ladies Association for many years. She worked as a rural route mail carrier for the USPS until her retirement in 1986. She currently spends her winters in McAllen, Texas and her summers on the family farm.

Please come out and visit with her and the family to reminisce and remember good times. Cards are welcome but no gifts please.
