Hickenlooper Meets with President Biden, Bipartisan Lawmakers on Infrastructure Priorities

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper met with President Joe Biden at the White House today to discuss the nation’s infrastructure and building a 21st-century workforce. Hickenlooper, a former Governor and Mayor, joined nine Members of Congress, all of whom were former Governors or Mayors, to meet with the President in the Oval Office.

“Governors and Mayors know that collaboration is how anything gets done. We saw today that there is bipartisan agreement to seize this once in a generation opportunity to improve our public infrastructure,” said Hickenlooper. “We look forward to tackling this rare challenge to ensure the next generation is ready to compete with the world.”

Hickenlooper is a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, which will help craft the infrastructure bill.
