High school artists opening reception is December 1

ALAMOSA–A group Adams State University art students will host a Pop Up Art Exhibition by San Luis Valley high school students. An opening reception for “Homegrown – Young Valley Artists” will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at the San Luis Valley Museum, located at 401 Hunt Ave. in Alamosa. Family, friends, and all valley communities are invited to come and support young valley artists.

The Pop Up Art Exhibition, “Homegrown – Young Valley Artists,” includes high school artists from Alamosa, Antonito, Center, Creede, and Del Norte. There will be a multitude of spectacular pieces of artwork on display.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. until 4 pm. Tuesday through Saturday, from Dec. 1 until December 15.

The art students appreciate the support of sponsors including the Adams State Office of Title V Initiatives Research and Engagement Grants, the San Luis Valley Museum, and the Thai Hut Restaurant.
