HobbyTown invests in positive behavior at OMS

ALAMOSA — HobbyTown owners recently received a letter from OMS Assistant Principal Eric Palmer, asking for support for the school’s initiative to reduce disrespect and defiant behavior. As the parents of a middle schooler, this seems like a good thing to think about. The school is showing improvement all by itself, and the business wants to support this important work.

So here’s the plan:

This year, OMS will issue Moose Bucks to students for extraordinarily positive behavior. They can spend the Moose Bucks at the school store. HobbyTown is asking the community to work with the business to help stock the student store.

1- HobbyTown has set aside $100 in cash which can be used to match contributions to the student store, for products purchased at HobbyTown and deposited in the OMS Student Store Box at HobbyTown.

2- After the $100 is depleted, HobbyTown will offer a standing 25 percent discount on any and all items that are purchased for the Student Store and left in the OMS Student Store Box at HobbyTown between now and September 30th.

It’s super easy to do. Just come to the store, find something to donate, purchase it, and HobbyTown will match the donation with additional products and gift cards.

Or, for those who want to donate something big and flashy, contact Tammy directly at the store. She will work with community members to apply a matching donation directly to the purchase.

Help HobbyTown reward kids for positive and productive behavior.
