Hooper honors Morris

Hooper Town Mayer Ray Newmyer, right, presents the Hooper Community Award to William “Bill” H. Morris on May 16. Bill has been a resident of the Hooper area since 1955 and a resident of the Town of Hooper since 2007. He graduated from Sangre de Cristo High School in 1974. He then raised a family with the help of his wife Debbie and farmed for many years just outside the town of Hooper. In 2006 he established his business, Morris Iron. Bill currently serves as a trustee on the Hooper Town Board and has many times in the past. Bill has been a first responder for 39 years for Hooper and the surrounding area with the Mosca-Hooper Volunteer Fire Department. He is currently a captain.
