Hope & Home Foster Care Agency is having a pajama drive through the month of March. With little more than the clothes on their backs, most children enter foster care out of the chill of harsh circumstances. In the stormy confusion of trauma small things can make a big impact. Something as simple as brand-new, just-my-size pajamas is like a warm hug that whispers, “You are valuable, you are loved and you will make it through this.”
At Hope & Home, it is our priority to nurture each individual child that comes into care – making their needs ours, no matter how great or small. We encourage individuals, businesses, and groups to follow the lead of the Girl Scout Troop 30104 of Monte Vista and join us through the month of March as we collect brand new pajamas for children in foster care, ages 0-18. Troop 30104 used the extra money from their cookie sales to purchase pajamas and impact the lives of children in difficult circumstances. One Hope & Home foster mom from Alamosa said, “Please help if you can! I can’t tell you how amazing it was to have our home supervisor drop off brand new pajamas for our kids. It really is the little things that make the difference and I promise you that a small thing like pajamas really is a HUGE BLESSING!” Will you come alongside Hope & Home and let your gift be an affirmation to a child in foster care, reminding them how incredible and truly special they are?
Hope & Home is a nondenominational Christian Foster Care Agency that trains and actively supports foster families all across the Front Range who feel compelled by Christ’s command to take care of “the least of these.” Hope & Home foster parents don’t do this for the money and don’t see foster care as a profession. To them, nurturing these children is a calling—missional work done right here in our community. Their goal is to help do what’s best for the children.
