Huls named new executive director at San Luis Care Center

ALAMOSA – Erica Huls was recently appointed executive director at San Luis Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Alamosa.

Huls most recently served as executive director at St. Anthony Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clovis, New Mexico. Prior to that appointment, she was an administrator in training at a Genesis Healthcare facility in Boise, Idaho. She served for 10 and a half years in the United States Air Force before getting into the health care field.

“As a United States Air Force veteran and licensed administrator, Erica has the leadership qualities, skillset and drive necessary to work in concert with our valued associates to achieve positive outcomes for the residents, families and staff we serve,” said Jay Beaudoin, vice president for parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Pikes Peak Region. “I am confident that San Luis Care Center will continue its long tradition of compassionate, skilled care under her leadership.”

“I really enjoy empowering my employees and helping my residents reach their goals,” said Huls. “I really love learning from the older generation.”

Originally from Independence, Kansas, Huls earned her bachelor’s degree in health care management from Globe University. She currently resides in Alamosa. She has two children and is engaged to Jeromy Krones. The three of them will be joining Huls from Idaho.
