Ida M. Gallegos, 96, entered into eternal life on August 16, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Ida was an exceptional beautician and owned her own salon for many years. She was very religious and prayed the rosary on a regular bases. Ida especially loved cooking for family and friends. She was very talented when it came to sewing, knitting and crocheting. Ida especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Ida was born on November 14, 1921 in San Acacio, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos B. Gallegos; brothers Joseph and Frank Lobato; parents Julian E. Lobato and Ana Lobato.

Ida is survived by her daughter Antoinette “Toni” (John) Rodriguez of Alamosa, CO; sons Fredrick “Rick” (Terri) Gallegos of Monte Vista, CO, Donald (Vivian) Gallegos of San Luis, CO; grandchildren Karen Rodriguez of Alamosa, CO, Monique Gallegos of Denver, CO, Amy Gallegos of Denver, CO, Anita Gallegos of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren Leanna, Mateo, Kolton and Kaleb; great great grandchild Ezykiel; brothers Edward (Carol) Lobato of Denver, CO, Reynold (Darlene) Lobato of Perry Park, CO. Ida is also survived by numerous extended family.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis, CO. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 am also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery.
