Longtime Alamosa resident Ida Trujillo, 69, was called home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2024. Ida was welcomed into the world on May 8, 1955, in Capulin, Colo., the beloved daughter of Joe S. Trujillo and Delma (Garcia)Trujillo.

After graduating high school, Ida went on to explore holistic medicine. She owned and operated her own Holistic Health Care Office. She prided herself on being a natural health consultant, relaxation therapist and a certified massage therapist.

Ida will be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need and was a friend to all. Her laugh and memories she left us will be cherished forever.

Survivors include her Son Thomas Manzanares of Alamosa, Colo.; sisters Pat Velasquez, Helen (Juan) Carreon, Esther (Fernando) Leon, Judy Baker, brother Dwayn Trujillo. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents Joe S and Delma Trujillo.

Viewing and visitation will be held on May 22, 2024, from 6-7 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa. Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. Another Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection to follow at 10 a.m., both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Burial will be held at the Agua Ramon Cemetery.
