Itzél "Z" Armijo

Itzél "Z" Armijo, 31, passed away on Aug. 25, 2023.  She will be deeply missed, forever honored, and loved by her father Samuel Armijo, stepmother Ursula Armijo-Knobel, her brother Donovan Armijo, her mother Teresa Jones and stepfather Jim Jones.

She is greeted in Heaven by her grandparents, Leontina and Benito Archuleta; her maternal grandparents Fernando and Catalina Gonzalez Ríos; her stepdad Arthur Neverburg and her uncle Dario Gonzales Rios.

Itzél was loved by many friends worldwide and her family... many cousins, aunts, and uncles here in the United States, Switzerland and in Mexico.

As a young girl, she lived and studied in Coatepec, Veracruz Mexico and spent several months in Germany with her friend Yvonne.  She traveled with Yvonne's father Peter... riding on the back of his motorcycle though Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Austria on a 4-day motorcycle tour.  Peter had taken her to meet and visit her Swiss grandmother Elfriede, who will turn 98 this coming Sept. 26.

She loved adventure and traveling, having crossed the United States various times...and visited 46 States, from coast to coast...  eventually residing in the State of Maine for three years before returning to live in Alamosa.

Itzel loved her remarkable companions; her previous dog SOCKS and her magical dog OZ “Osmosis Abraham Armijo”, as well as many friends and acquaintances here and abroad. She will be truly missed yet, forever in our hearts.

Stay wild, moon child.
