ALAMOSA — On Tuesday, March 17th, Jade Communications / Blanca Networks signed the Federal Communications Commission’s “Keep Americans Connected Pledge.” The companies are the first and only providers in the San Luis Valley to sign the Pledge. Along with the other 390 U.S.-based broadband companies and associations that have signed the pledge, the companies promise to work with customers negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to signing the “Keep Americans Connected” pledge, Jade Communications / Blanca Networks have also committed to offering free internet installs to new customers, provide complimentary speed tier upgrades to families/small businesses, and make available advanced Wi-Fi gear to handle the increased demand as a result of state-mandated online learning and working from home.
Jade Communications / Blanca Networks, both locally owned companies, said their goal is to help the community by making the Internet more accessible during an unprecedented time of crisis. For over 90 years, Jade Communications / Blanca Networks have been fiber optic and wireless broadband leaders in southern Colorado.
