James Christopher Martinez-Lujan

Denver former Antonito resident  James Christopher Martinez-Lujan, 29, passed away July 26, 2021. James was born on April 15, 1992, the beloved son of James Lujan and Corina Martinez Lujan. After graduating high school he went on to work doing construction. James enjoyed going camping, he was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan and was dedicated and passionate about making music and rap songs. He loved the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents James and Corina Lujan of Antonito, CO; wife Jenny Olivas of Denver, CO; children Nakyla Navares, Lexi Olivas both of Denver, CO; brother Joshua Lujan of Antonito, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

James was preceded in death by his daughter Kristiana Rose Martinez and grandfather Gustavo Lujan.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. A Vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 AM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Las Mesitas Cemetery.
