Jason Begay 44, Del Norte, Colorado passed away unexpectedly September 17, 2021. Jason was born April 27, 1977 in Shiprock, New Mexico to Ella Bird.

He attended grade school in Brigham City, Utah. In 1985, he moved with his family to Center, CO where he attended school and graduated in 1995. He then went on to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended Hi-Tech and received his Associate Degree in Computer Technology. He worked at Jack’s Market in Del Norte, CO.

Jason was a kind and caring person. He would help anyone who needed help. Jason enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, playing pool. Jason was an avid Bronco fan.

He is survived by his Mother Ella Bird of Del Norte, CO, Sisters; Cheryle Bird (Thomas Espinoza), and DeeAnne Bird, both of Alamosa, CO, Joletta Lewis (Ricky Clichee), Two Grey Hills, NM, Justina (Johnny) Montoya, Taos, NM, Anastasia Begay, Monte Vista, CO, one brother; Garrick Begay, Del Norte, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents; John Frank and Ruth Begay of Sanostee, NM, his brother; Wady Bird, nephew; Ricardo Bird, and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00 am, at the New Life Fellowship Church in Del Norte, CO., with a reception to follow. The care of arrangements has been entrusted in Strohmayer’s Funeral Home.
