Jenny Bird to celebrate CD release at Society Hall

ALAMOSA — Society Hall, the performance space, concert hall and community gathering place at 400 Ross Ave. in Alamosa, is proud to welcome Jenny Bird, a regional favorite singer-songwriter based in Taos, for a CD release show celebrating her new CD “Deeper Than Light” on Friday, May 18th at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and are available at the Green Spot in Alamosa or online at www.societyhall.org.

Jenny has brought her powerful and passionate music to audiences across the country and around the world since first beginning her career in Europe in the 1970’s. “Deeper Than Light” is her 16th solo CD release. Jenny’s powerful and inventive guitar work supports her seemingly effortless and virtually limitless vocal range, all in service to her songs of growth, beauty, mystery and wonder.

Joining Jenny for the Society Hall show will be Don Richmond on mandolin and fiddle, as well as Taos guitarist Omar Rane.
