Job fair

CENTER — In an effort to help promote post-secondary and workforce readiness, Center School District is hosting a Youth Job Fair on April 25. They are looking for employers that employ youth during the summer or after-school during the school year.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Center High School gym. Employers will give out information about their company and the youth jobs available. Employers will be set up at a table as students rotate around the room to the various employers. They can explain what types of skills they are looking for in someone they hire. Students will be introducing themselves, giving out business cards and resumes. Employers could even have students complete job applications.

Students will participate in practice job interviews, and the school would like to have employers participate so that students can have a real understanding of what this experience is like. If employers so choose, they could actually interview the students who completed applications during the job fair. If you are able to participate, please contact Katrina Ruggles at (719) 580-9199 or at [email protected]
