ALAMOSA -- About 70 job seekers visited a selection of 26 booths staffed by employers at an Alamosa-wide job fair held Monday at the multi-use pavilion next to the recreation center.

Brian Mott, left, is getting an update about opportunities with the Southwest Conservation Corps from Morgan Brandenburg from the Salida and Durango offices and Jordi Romero who is based in Alamosa. An adult crew (ages 18-24) is currently being organized in the valley to undertake such tasks as trail building and other conservation efforts.

The job fair was co-sponsored by the Alamosa Convention and Visitors Bureau, City of Alamosa, Alamosa County and the Colorado Workforce Center due to an overwhelming need for employees throughout the community.
