Alamosa - Alamosa resident john William (Billy) Valdez gained his angel wings on the 11^th of July 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Billy was welcomed in to the world on June 25, 1932 to the late Amadeo Valdez and Isabel Vigil Valdez. Billy enlisted in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Upon arriving home, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Tillie T. Koury. The two welcomed 5 wonderful children. Billy worked 26 years as a Coors Supervisor and also worked for many years as a metro driver. Billy loved the time he spent fishing and hunting. He was an avid Rockies and Broncos fan. In his past time, he enjoyed his time reading. His greatest past time was the time he spent with his loving family and grandkids. Billy is survived by the love of his life Tillie Theresa Koury Valdez of the family home, Three Daughters; Joanna (Carl) Laffin, Highlands Ranch, Co, Deanna (Tony) Eppolito, Aurora, CO, Audrey (Craig) Moen, Highlands Ranch, CO, Two Sons; Rick Valdez, John Valdez, Alamosa, CO, Six Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grand Grandchildren. One Brother Jimmy (Laverne) Valdez Alamosa, CO. he is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters Eileen Herrera, and Jean Maestas, One Brother Richard Valdez whom gained his wings on the same day. Billy will be dearly missed by all. There will be a Rosary on July 20, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. with Funeral mass to follow at 9:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alamosa, CO. Inurnment will be held at the Alamosa Cemetery.
