Johnson captured

SAN LUIS —  Fugitive Jack Johnson, 38 was arrested on July 27 on the 900 block of Pedro St. San Luis.

Johnson was seen in this area when he took Deputy Cruz Soto on a short foot pursuit. Johnson who was actively resisting arrest and believed to be armed with a weapon was apprehended and taken into custody a short time later with the help of K9 Blue.

Johnson was later medically cleared by SLV Health Emergency Department for minor injuries during the K9 apprehension.

Johnson was wanted on three felony warrants out of Costilla County, one warrant out of Pueblo County, and one warrant out of the Department of Corrections (DOC.) Warrants out of Costilla County and DOC included warrants for escape.
