MONTE VISTA — Josephine Marie Trujillo, 92, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2020, at the Rio Grande Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Josephine came into the world on July 4th, 1928. A firecracker baby born on Independence day! She was united in marriage to the love of her life Manuel Flavio Trujillo on November 6, 1944. The two shared a long and loving union until his passing a few years ago. She devoted her life to caring for her family. Josephine was a kind, compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed making tortillas, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, praying the rosary, going shopping and spending time with family. She brought love and joy to her family and everyone she met. She will be dearly missed.
She will live on through her children Wanda (Leroy) Sanchez, Linda Archuleta, Arnold Trujillo all of Monte Vista, CO; Frank (Patsy) Trujillo of Broomfield, CO; special friends Sofie and Diane, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Roseindo and Josephine Salas, her husband Manuel Flavio Trujillo, infant daughter Vivian Trujillo, son Floyd E. Trujillo, granddaughter Keziah Archuleta, grandson Eloy Archuleta, great-great-grandson Kayan William Trujillo and two brothers Josecilio Salas, Bonifacio Salas.
