Julia Mae Rockstad 79, passed away in Conejos County Hospital on November 26, 2021 with her loving nieces Lucy Farmer and Joanne Salazar at her bedside holding her hands.
“Mae” as she wanted to be called was born on November 25, 1942 in Mogote, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents Gabriel Sandoval and Lila Sandoval, Brother David, Sisters Lucy, Andrietta, Sarah, Cruz, and Corrine. Also preceded by daughter Tina Maria Rockstad, a beloved husband Clarence “Rocky” Rockstad.
She is survived by her loving grandson Christopher(Nola) Pace, and 2 granddaughters Ellie and Ava. Also survived by sisters Lola Ruybalid, Connie Richardson and brother Glenn Sandoval.
Mae and Rocky were married for 40+ years. They made their final homestead in Mogote, CO where they spent their last happy, loving years together.
Julia Mae was a loved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and of the community. She had “many” wonderful friends.
Due to the wide spread threat of corona virus, the family opted to have graveside services at the Fox Creek Cemetery off of West Hwy 17 in Fox Creek, CO on January 8th at 11:00am.
