Ladies Aid calling for recipes

CREEDE—Ladies Aid Society (LAS) is “calling for all recipes!” Want to see your name in print? LAS is putting together and publishing a new cookbook in honor and celebration of Creede’s 125th Year anniversary, which will be celebrated this summer.

A total of 400 recipes are needed within the following categories: appetizers, soups and salads, breads and rolls, vegetables and side dishes, meats and casseroles and desserts. There is also a section in the cookbook entitled, “In Loving Memory,” for recipes people may have of community members who are no longer with us.

All submitted recipes must be typed in the following format: recipe title, first and last name of person submitting the recipe, ingredients needed and measured listed in one column and preparation instructions typed underneath the ingredients. Recipes should be proofread completely to avoid errors. Recipes should be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Ladies Aid Society, PO Box 126, Creede, CO 81130.

Residents may submit multiple recipes.

Deadline for recipe submissions is Saturday, April 15. All money raised from sales of the Ladies Aid Society Cookbook is used to help people in the Creede community. Ladies Aid Society was established in 1899.
