ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls basketball team played its first home game of the new year on Saturday as the Lady Mean Moose hosted Delta at the AHS gym.

Alamosa was in the game for much of the contest. However, the Lady Panthers pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 47-33 win.

Kylie Huff gave Delta the early lead as she made one of two from the free throw line. Miranda Geringer also made a free throw to tie the score and she later made a 3-point basket to give the Lady Mean Moose a 4-1 lead.

That would turn out to be Alamosa’s only lead of the game. Ellie Ames scored a layup, and Baylie Wilson split at the line to deadlock the score at 4-4.
