Lady Mean Moose place fourth at Gunnison

ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls golf team competed at the Gunnison Invitational Monday at Dos Rios Golf Course.

The Lady Mean Moose were led by Morgan Ortega who tied for ninth place with a 97. Other Alamosa golfers were Kayla Medina who tied for 14th with a 107, and Kailyn Vigil who tied for 23rd with a 119.

Montrose was the tournament champion with 276, followed by Gunnison with 295, Palisade with 299, Alamosa with 323 and Moffat County with 326.

The next three tournaments will be in the Sal Luis Valley starting with the Alamosa Invitational Thursday at Cattails Golf Course. The Monte Vista Invitational will be Friday at the Monte Vista Golf Course, and the Class 3A Region 4 Tournament will take place next Tuesday at Cattails.
