Lady Mean Moose to play at Lutheran on Thursday

ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls soccer team will play Lutheran in the first round of the Class 3A State Tournament Thursday in Parker. Game time is at 4 p.m.

The Lady Mean Moose (8-6) enter as the 28th seed and the Lady Lions (11-4) are the fifth seed.

Alamosa has been led offensively by Malia Tuioti-Mariner with 14 goals, followed by Abby Wubben with 10. They also lead in assists with seven and six, respectively.

Maura Kirkpatrick leads Lutheran with 17 goals, followed by Brooklyn Bussey with 13, and Mackenzie Magill with 10. Bussey leads in assists with 11 and Kirkpatrick has nine.

Should Alamosa win, it will play either 12th-seeded DSST: Green Valley Ranch or 21st-seeded Resurrection Christian.
