ALAMOSA — Alamosa High School Senior, Emily Lavier, is representing Alamosa High School, the San Luis Valley and the State of Colorado in the final four of the American Family Dream Fearless Fanvote High School Girls 3 Point Contest. Last January Emily broke the Colorado High School girls record for the most 3 pointers scored in a game with 12 in a win against Monte Vista.
The event features some of America’s best high school boys and girls basketball shooters who are paired up in brackets of 16 in a High School Boys Slam Dunk Contest, Boys 3 Point Contest and Girls 3 Point Contest. Emily has won the last two rounds and is currently in the final four. Contestants win by receiving the most votes online at https://www.amfam.com/sponsorships/highschool-slam/fan-vote
People can vote once per day per device (laptop/desktop/tablet/phone). Enter the website in any browser. Viewers will see Boys Slam Dunk Contest. Use the blue arrow to scroll over to the right to click on Girls 3 Point Contest. You will be prompted to enter their age. People who choose to leave the age question blank on the site do not have to provide any personal information. Scroll over in the bracket until you see Emily Lavier and vote. If she wins this round she will advance to the final round next week. Winners will go to the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament in April in Indianapolis where they will be showcased on CBS showing their shooting abilities.
