Learn about the Advent wreath

MONTE VISTA — Advent wreath? Chrismons? Have you ever wondered what these have to do with the season upon us?

Come join the folks at St. Stephens Episcopal to learn the special meaning these have for the Advent season, a time of waiting and expectation.

St. Stephen’s is located at the corner of 3rd and Washington Streets in Monte Vista with the service beginning at 10 a.m. A half hour study specific to the meaning of each part of the Advent wreath, discussion, and refreshment time will follow the service.

The Rev. Robert Pope will celebrate the Eucharist on the first and third Sundays.  Eucharist from reserved Sacraments will be served on the second and fourth Sundays. The Christmas Eve service and Eucharist will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24.

All are welcome to join the congregation for a time to contemplate, refresh, and restore during this special season.
