Leonard Cordova, 58

Colorado Springs, former San Luis resident Leonard Cordova, 58, passed away October 16, 2017. Leonard was born on December 21, 1958 in Alamosa, Colorado, the son of Maurice Cordova and Mabel Martinez Cordova. Leonard served and was a veteran in the United States Army. Upon completion of his duties in the service he worked many years laying tile. He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed going fishing, painting, listening to music and spending as much time as he could with family and friends.

Survivors include his son Aaron Cordova of Denver, CO; daughter Francine Segura of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, sisters Barbara Cordova of San Luis, CO; Christine (Jesse) Medina of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers Maurice (Martha) Cordova Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO; Ronnie (Bertha) Cordova of San Pablo, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Mable Cordova Sr.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30 AM also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the San Acacio Cemetery. The care of arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of San Luis.
