Del Norte resident LeRoy K. Rue, 76, passed away on March 2, 2017 at the Rio Grande Hospital with his loving family by his side. LeRoy was born on April 4, 1940 in Sheyenne, North Dakota, the beloved son of Samuel Rue and Edith Frosaker Rue. LeRoy was a hardworking logger and sawmiller, diligent provider, loving husband, father and grandfather, and all around great guy, who enjoyed modifying machines, driving his forklift and spending time with family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Carol Rue of Del Norte, CO; daughter Kathy (Robert) Willschau of Del Norte, CO; son Michael (Valerie) Rue of Del Norte, CO; grandchildren Chad Willschau of Ft. Collins, CO; Keith Willschau of Colorado Springs, CO; Wendy Rue of Monte Vista, CO; Adam Rue of Houston, TX; Tyler Rue of Denver, CO; siblings Arlene Hanson, Marvin (Betty) Rue, Roger (Pat) Rue, Beverly Cruz, Larry (Sarah) Rue, Helen Wagner, Sharon Pennington, Dale Rue and Judy (Steve) Kethcart. He is also survived my numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Edith Rue, brothers Owen Rue, Ronnie Rue, Norman Rue, Loyd Rue, Eugene "Sonny" Rue, Glenn Rue and one sister Delane Transue.

Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date. The care of arrangements have been trusted to Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Del Valle at 514 Main Street, Alamosa, CO. 81101.
