Letter to the editor: Conflict of interest in Romeo politics or not?

In June a petition was run to remove a member from the Romeo town board, accused of using their position on the board to vent personal problems, willful wanton and malicious conduct. 69 out of 87 Romeo residents contacted signed in favor of the petition.

The petition was presented to the board on July 24. A month and a half has gone by. The board apparently wanted nothing to do with this issue so they put it on the town attorney who has not found time to deal with this issue either.

I feel it has taken so much time, the board member in question should be put on temporary leave until someone can resolve this issue.

Conflict of interest or not?
