I would like to acknowledge and congratulate Adams State University, under the leadership of Dr. Beverlee McClure and the university board for the continued efforts to support the San Luis Valley in higher education. The benefit to the San Luis valley is immeasurable, and holding the “line to tuition costs”, is just one example of commitment that we can all applaud. Designated as serving those that are “underserved” is a very noble undertaking and will benefit us all. I proudly stand ready to assist this institution in any way I can legislatively and would ask for a renewed commitment from all to assist in making this a truly remarkable institution. Governor Billy Adams, our 25th governor and founder, would be astonished at the progress of his namesake.
