The Saguache County Board Of County Commissioners granted the Wreaths Across America $2,500 for this year of 2018 for the purchase of veterans Christmas wreaths for the Colorado State Veterans Center and the Saguache County area from their spring 2018 sales tax.

Connie Trujillo and Gene Gowens have made it their mission to ensure that the veterans of Saguache County and the Colorado State Veterans Center are honored and remembered at Christmas time to have wreaths placed on all their  graves. 

The Wreaths Across America has annual placement of veterans Christmas wreaths occurring on the second Saturday of December all over the United States and also some areas abroad. 

A huge thank you to the Saguache County Board of Commissioners and to Connie Trujillo and Gene Gowens.
