Library shows Rael photos of San Antonio Mountain

ALAMOSA—Adams State University’s Nielsen Library is showing an exhibit of photographs from Michael C. Rael’s book Sentinel in Sight–Photographs of San Antonio Mountain. The exhibit will be on display on the library’s second floor through May. It is free and open to the public.

Rael, who works in Computing Services at the university, lives in his native Antonito, where he has been inspired by nearby San Antonio Mountain. He said he’s been doing photography since about age 10, but has become more serious about his avocation in the last seven years.

Rael has shown his work in previous exhibits on campus, and his photography has appeared in the SandHill Review and The San Luis Valley Historian. His book, which is available from Amazon, was selected for inclusion in the Natural Collection at The Photobook Club. www.collection.photobookclub.org/2014/03/31/sentinel-in-sight/)
