Lillian said her final goodbye, July 7, 2022, At the age of 68.

Now walks with her Mother and Father, her brother William Hammer, and grandchildren Peter Cyr Vigil and Michel Vigil.

When I think about my mom, Lillian. The first thing, I think about is The Color Purple. Purple the color of royalty. She surely was her own Queen.

She definitely lived by her own rules, and she had an unbelievably strong personality that would not be forgettable weather good or bad.

She had a smile that was big and beautiful, even though she was the size of a peanut.  She loved the outdoors and had a personality that was truly adventurous. I just wish she had the health and agility to meet that adventure head-on to conquer the world.

Butterflies and dolphins, New Mexican culture, and the freedom to just enjoy living life brought her happiness.

Strong and stubborn as Lillian was, she was also creatively artistic and incredibly smart.

She was resourceful, could handle any challenge head-on long before Google made the scene.  This was one of her many, many gifts.  Her ability to endure whatever life threw at her could inspire inspiration in anybody who knew her story.

She leaves us knowing her kids are going to be okay.  Proud of all her grandchildren, accepting them all as they are. She saw them in their own way, as wonderful, and super-smart, knew they would grow up to show the world what she already had seen in each of them.  Proud of her adult grandchildren watching from afar would boast of each their children on how beautiful they were and how proud she was of them, watching them raise their families. she spoke highly of every one of her grandchildren and I know each of them all had brought light to her life.

When we look at a new sunrise or gaze upon a sunset with the sun’s rays’ glowing in the sky through the clouds, we will think of Lillian Martinez (Hammer), a grandmother, a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend is peeking back at us, We say with love we will meet again.  But for now, we say Goodbye.

Love your Children.
