Louie Carleo

ALAMOSA — Alamosa resident Louie Carleo, 75, passed away December 10, 2020 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center. Louie came into the world on January 15, 1945 in Pueblo, Colorado, the beloved son of Louie Carleo and Wilda Owens Carleo. Louie worked as a carpenter for many years. He was very skilled working with his hands. His specialty was making shelves from bathroom, closet to creating a customized kitchen of the person’s dreams. Louie was united in marriage to Mary Cornell and the two shared a long and loving union until his passing. Louie was an avid New York Yankees fan as well as a fan of most sports. He was an outgoing, kind and loving person and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He will live on through his wife Mary Carleo of Alamosa, CO; daughters Chelsea Carleo (Martin Velasquez) of Monte Vista, CO; Mariah Carleo of Alamosa, CO; Melissa Carleo of Missoula, MT; sons Dalton Carleo of Alamosa, CO; Scott Carleo of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Gianna Velasquez, Liam Velasquez, sister LaVerne (Reno) Cortese of Manteca, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Wilda Carleo.
