Loyda Oralia Flores

ALAMOSA—Alamosa resident Loyda Oralia Flores, 69, passed away on July 31, 2021.

Loyda was born on December 24, 1951 in Antonito to Margarito and Juanita Martinez.

Loyda was a social butterfly who spent time in retail at K-Mart, Safeway and First Stop where she took the time to create conversation with everyone. Loyda loved passing the time with her grandbabies, watching game shows, going to bingo and hustling family in poker.

Loyda is survived by her husband Bacilio Flores, her daughters Sandra (Joseph) Archuleta of Manassa and Julie Johnson of Arizona, her sons Chris Flores of Alamosa, Brian Flores of Alamosa, Eric (Jannelle) Flores of Alamosa and daughter-in-law Veronica Lazoya of Alamosa. She was also survived by her grandchildren Adan Flores of Pueblo, Krista (Vincent) DuPont, Patricia Archuleta, Brianna Archuleta, Liliana Flores, Draden Flores, Lyla Flores and Ella Flores of Alamosa and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Bob) Trujillo of Canon City, Lorene (JC) Quintana of Antonito, Brenda (Andrew) DeHerrera of Lakewood, Debbie (Salvador) Casias of Florida, Frances Lindsay of Florida, Lisa Mendez of Lakewood and her brother Lucas (Della) Martinez of Monte Vista.

She is preceded in death by her parents Margarito and Juanita Martinez, her first husband Julian Johnson, her sons Jesse Flores and Jimmy Johnson, her brothers Jessie Martinez, Peter Martinez and Joseph Martinez and sister Janet DeHerrera.

Cremation was chosen and services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Conejos, Colo.
