ALAMOSA– Michael Chacon, 29, of Antonito was arrested Wednesday for aggravated motor vehicle theft after allegedly stealing a truck from L&M Auto. 

Alamosa police officers were dispatched to L&M at 1005 West Avenue about 2:10 p.m. in reference to a male party who took a black 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup off the used car lot without permission. The vehicle was contacted by Manassa police on County Road N and County Road 17 in Conejos County about 45 minutes later. 

Chacon was placed in custody without further incident and no damage was reported to the truck.
