Martin Glenn Weston

Martin Glenn Weston

Sanford resident Martin Glenn Weston, 66, died November 14, 2022, at the Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, Colorado.

Martin was born at his grandparents' home in Monte Vista, Colorado on November 15, 1955, the son of Warren Weston and Beverly Hunt Weston.

His favorite job was working with his cousin Robert Holland in Bill King’s turquoise mine near Manassa. Martin worked for his uncle Leonard Calkins setting mobile homes for many years.  He then drove a cement truck for several companies throughout the years.  Martin was often requested as the truck driver because he could put that truck exactly where they wanted it.

Martin loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding around the countryside.  He also had an appreciation for old cars. He loved cooking, he made a great green chile, and even made eggs taste good!

Martin is survived by his siblings Christine Weston of La Jara, Steven (Roxiann) Weston of Utah, Lori (Leroy) Teem of Alamosa, Ann Weston of La Jara, and Michael (Melanie) Weston of Greeley; his aunts and uncles: Lorene Calkins of Breckenridge, Tex., Sandra (Bill) Reid of Golden, Colo., and Sharon (Alan) Jacobsen of Colorado Springs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Martin is preceded in death by his father Warren in 1969, his mother Beverly Broyles in 2015, his step-brother Barry Sheibe and his niece Rebekah Martin.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, and a Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2022, both at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.  Interment will follow services in the Manassa-Romeo Cemetery in Manassa, Colo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Joni Fair Hospice House 1107 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo CO 81005.
