A 1957 Chevrolet 150 hardtop owned by former Alamosa residents Greg and Judy Hrehovcsik and built by Johnny’s Auto Trim and Rod Shop, Inc. of Alamosa collected the Don Ridler Memorial Award at the 2018 Meguiar’s Detroit Autorama this past weekend. The show is presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit and placed Johnny Martin’s creation first in the Pirelli Great 8.

Street Rodder News said, “we’ve seen a million ’57 Chevys over the years, but few if any as completely and as imaginatively redone as “Imagine,” Greg and Judy’s extensively redesigned silver 150.

Among those in attendance for the show were, front from left, Steve ‘Geezer’ Wagner, Brian Nelson, Matt Wagner, Bruce Williams; back, Barry Meguiar, host of Discovery’s Velocity series Car Crazy and president of Meguiar’s Inc, Kris Gosar, Tom Stark, owner Precision Designs, Ryan Martin, main designer on the project for Johnny’s, Craig Rogers, owner Greg Hrehovcsik, and Johnny Martin, builder and co-owner of the ’57 Ridler winner.
