MONTE VISTA — Former Monte Vista resident Mary Agnes Garcia, 58, passed away. She was born on November 20, 1960 in Alamosa to Juan and Maria Cuevas. Mary enjoyed fishing and cooking, bingo, gambling, scratch tickets, dancing, listening to music, gardening, visiting with family and friends.  She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, Halloween was her favorite holiday and she truly loved her husband and her dogs.

Mary is survived by her children, Tabitha Cuevas of Denver, Anthony Cuevas of Pueblo, her grandchildren, Destia Hamillon of Colorado Springs, Romes Hamillon of Colorado Springs, Joeish Hamillon of Monte Vista, Ayana Krystal Cuevas, Isaac Anthony Cuevas, Damien Xavier Cuevas and Douglas Hollenback as well as her siblings, Nikki (Alfonso) Martinez of Monte Vista, Isabel Allen of Denver, Colorado, Lorraine Pacheco of Deckter, Missouri, Robert Renner of Pueblo, Vivian (Mike) Trujillo of Tempe, Arizona and Sylvia Romero of Monte Vista, as well as numerous loving extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Maria Eutita, her daughter, Samantha Cuevas, her brothers Roy Renner and Raymond Cuevas and her husband Ron Garcia.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday November 2, 2019 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday November 1, 2019 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista.  Interment of ashes will follow services in the Del Norte Cemetery.  To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
