McCullough on faculty for Plein Air Convention

VALLEY — San Luis Valley artist Susan McCullough is excited to be included as faculty for the Plein Air Convention in Santa Fe, NM from April 16 to 20.

The Plein Air convention is in its fifth year and has been held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Monterey California, San Diego and this year, Santa Fe N.M. The event boasts 900 attendees this year, which will be hosted at the Buffalo Thunder Resort.

The Plein Air Convention & Expo is the world’s largest plein air event. It’s like the Woodstock of outdoor painting. By attending the 2018 Plein Air Convention, artists make personal connections with 80-plus of the world’s top painters (the faculty), plus 900 of the attendees. Artists discover amazing techniques to transform their painting skills. There will be painting demonstrations on four stages, plus each day all of the painters go out painting and break the world record for the most plein air painters painting in one place simultaneously.

Susan will also be competing in the Santa Fe Plein Air Fiesta from April 27 to May 4. This event will be hosted by Sorrel Sky in Santa Fe, NM.

Susan is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Plein Air Painters New Mexico and Plein Air Artists Colorado. She is represented by Wilder Nightingale in Taos, NM, Sorrel Sky in Santa Fe, NM, and Silver Street Gallery in Lake City. Her paintings can also be viewed at The Windsor in Del Norte.
