Mean Moose win tournament in Denver

ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School wrestling team won the 38th Annual Les Mattocks Invitational which took place at Abraham Lincoln High School on Saturday.

The Mean Moose had five champions including Jeremiah DeLaCerda (106), Dempsey Gibbs (120), Dario Valdez (126), Dyson Woodward (132), and Kyler Liddell (150).

Anthony Griego (113), Sage Rockcastle (138), and James Sanchez (285) all finished in second place.

Also placing for Alamosa were Jaxon Morgan who was third at 157, Ryan Cordova who was third at 165, and Jace Morgan who was fifth at 144.

Alamosa finished with 224 points, well ahead of second-place Lutheran with 151.
