Memoir writing workshop planned

ALAMOSA — Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center and Alamosa Public Library will host a six-week workshop on writing personal family history called “Writing Your Life” beginning Monday, March 5 at 10:30 a.m. Fort Garland education coordinator Kelley Ivers will lead the weekly workshop at the Alamosa Public Library at 300 Hunt Avenue.

This fun and easy-to-follow workshop sets attendees on a journey to look into their past and write down their stories to share with their present and future generations. This workshop will open up the minds to those that do not consider themselves writers and provide the opportunity for the attendees to find themselves writing enthusiastically in this practical and thought-provoking class.

The cost of the workshop is $35 per person and runs every Monday from 10:30 a.m. to noon from March 5 to April 9. Reservations for the workshop can be made at the museum, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 719-379-3512.
