Alamosa resident Michael Joseph Anthony Chacon, passed away July 15, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Michael was born on February 10, 1951 in Monte Vista, Colorado the beloved son of Felix Chacon and Mae Ruybal Chacon. He worked as a diesel mechanic for many years of his life and where he made all his friends in the community. Michael was an exceptional and loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend who enjoyed going hunting and fishing, fixing things, being outdoors being known for being a jokester and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter DeAnna Chacon (John Saxton) of Alamosa, CO; son Christopher Michael Chacon, four grandchildren Shay and DeAndra Doyle, C.J. and Ian Chacon, special nephew David Fisher brothers Reno (Lorena) Chacon of Center, CO; Jesse (Nancy) Chacon of Monte Vista, sisters Joana (Roger) Herrera of Monte Vista, CO; Laura Martinez of Lafayette, CO; Cathy (Tony) Mascarenas of Monte Vista, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Mae Chacon, wife Martha Ann Chacon and one son Jeremiah Ruben Chacon.
