Michael Lee Cyrus, 72, passed away at home in La Jara, Colorado on October 27, 2021. Mike was born on August 24, 1949, to USAF Chief Master Sergeant Jerrold and Jaqueline Cyrus, in Portland, Oregon.
Mike excelled in his education at the United States Air Force Academy and received his graduate degree from Colorado State University. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force and deeply loved his country. Following his military service, he co-founded Delta Graphics in Bellevue, Washington.
Mike had a lifelong appreciation of music, and deeply loved his family. He was a world traveler and a man of profound faith. Those around Mike always felt his love and his quest for knowledge.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jodie Ann Cyrus; two daughters: Marissa Cyrus and Andrea Cyrus Medina; two grandchildren: Carolina and Lukas (Cyrus) Snider; his brother Kerry (Iryna) Cyrus; his sisters: Melissa Gentry, Lou Ann (Tim) Martin, and Lorrie (Dave) Penrod; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jaqueline, father Jerrold, step-mother Lois, brother Brett Shake, brothers-in-law James and Gerald Jones; and father-in-law Jerry Jones.
