Michelle D. Sandoval

Former Chama resident Michelle D. Sandoval, died on January 13, 2022 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa. Michelle was born on June 24, 1973 in Denver, Colorado, to Manuel John Sandoval and Dinah Manzanares Jacquez. Michelle attended Alamosa Open High School and was valedictorian of the class of 1992. She furthered her education at Trinidad State Junior College in automotives. She then became a loving mother to seven children.

 She is survived by her domestic partner Michelle Medina of Antonito, CO;  Parents Dinah & Ray Jacquez, sons Alejandro Sandoval, Darrian "Puggy" Brown, David Brown all of Alamosa, CO; daughters Brandi (Jon) Granillo of Mosca, CO; Monique Martinez of Alamosa, CO; Brittany Brown of Sterling, VA; Siblings; Fares(Amy) Jacquez of Manassa, CO; Richard(Nicole) Jacquez of Fountain, CO; Toby Trujillo of Pueblo, CO; Manual Sandoval of Denver, CO; Veronica(Jennie) Brown of Pueblo, CO; and Danny Sandoval of Denver, CO; grandchildren La'Riah Lopez of Alamosa, CO; Angelica Cruz of Seattle, WA; Madison Granillo of Mosca, CO. She is also survived by many siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Michelle was preceded in death by her father Manuel John Sandoval, daughter Angelica Esperanza Sandoval, grandmothers Hope Martinez and Dolores Trujillo, grandfather Sebby Martinez.

 Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 12-4 PM at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa. Vigil Service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Chama Cemetery in Chama, Colorado.
