Monoclonal treatments in the Valley

SAN LUIS VALLEY — The state-led mobile unit offering monoclonal antibody therapy in Alamosa has had a delay, and will be starting on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. It will offer treatment through December 22nd, excluding weekends. This therapy must be administered within 10 days of the onset of symptoms. Call 1-877-268-2926 for help making an appointment. You will be screened for eligibility. Monoclonal antibody therapy for COVID-19 also continues to be available through local healthcare providers by physician referral.

The omicron variant has now been identified in Colorado. CDPHE is monitoring for omicron cases using a variety of methods including diagnostic testing, genomic sequence sampling, travel monitoring, and wastewater testing in areas of the state that have already been using that monitoring method. For the time being, recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19 have not changed. Get vaccinated. Please wear a mask in public indoor spaces and practice social distancing. Get tested and stay home if you have symptoms.

There are 193 active cases in the San Luis Valley today. For more COVID-19 data as well as regularly updated information about testing and vaccines, see slvphp.com.
