MONTE VISTA — On a cold blustery morning the Center Invitational was underway regardless of the weather.

Centauri took top billing among valley participants with a 3rd place finish from their girls and a 4th place finish from the boys. Behind the Falcons was Monte Vista High School with the girls placing 8th and the boys placing 10th. Valley teams earned top places in a few events. Centauri's girls took first in the women's 4x  800 meter relay. Brinli Sowards took first in the women's high jump adding more points to the Falcon's score.

Members of Centauri's relay team pass the baton. The Falcons would take first in two relay events, both the 100 and 200 meter.

The boys of Centauri took firsts in the Mens 4x 100 and 200 meter relay. Sanford got a great individual effort from Brady Lenz in the Men's triple jump. Lenz took first with a 42' mark to give Sanford 10 points.
