LA JARA — Everyone is invited to a picture book launch party for “Morty” (the moose) by KC “Chuck” Rasmussen on Saturday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4 Myron Way, four blocks east of Subway in La Jara. Book readings will occur every 30 minutes. Also enjoy root beer floats and a tour of the art studio and gardens.
