Mountain Shootout opening reception takes place on June 29

CREEDE— The Mountain Shootout Photography Show opening reception will be held on June 29 at 6 p.m. at the Creede Visitor Center.

The Mountain Shootout juried exhibit features photographs by regional artists. This year the Creede Arts Council received many outstanding entries. First Place was awarded to Steve Hall for “Copper Creek Deer.” Kathy Killip’s “Rose Sunset on the Rio Grande” was awarded second place. Creede resident Bob Seago was awarded third place for “The Cat’s Bananas.”

Honorable mentions were awarded to Lacy Hargreaves, Kathy Killip, Sam Leake, Bob Seago and Susan Urrutia.

Everyone is invited to the opening reception of the show and may vote for their favorite landscape during the run of the show which will decide who will win the People’s Choice Award.
