ALAMOSA– Funeral services for longtime community and Adams State supporter Ignacio “Nacho” Martinez will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Friday, April 30, according to his son Ryan.

Martinez, owner and president of Jalisco, Inc., and the Best Western Alamosa Inn prior to leaving the area a number of years ago, succumbed to cancer in early March.

A stalwart supporter of Adams State, Martinez was twice honored by the university, earning the coveted Billy Adams Award in 1993 and the first ever Grizzly Club Corporate Partner of the Year in 2004.
